Getting there

Wherever you start your journey, get yourself to Ely, Minnesota. From there, follow the road ‘out of town’, also known as HWY 169 or the Fernberg Trail. After approximately 18 miles, you will take a left on the Snowbank Road- look for the wooden Wilderness Bay signs! Keep to the right on this gravel road for another 3 miles and you will reach the Wilderness Bay private landing. Here you’ll find a phone booth! Pick up the receiver to call for your shuttle across the lake!

Note: if you are bringing your own boat, please use the Snowbank Lake Public Access.
