Wilderness Bay Lodge is nestled in a private bay of Snowbank Lake. Snowbank is a 4,273-acre lake with depths of up to 150 feet. The lake is located on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). Most of the northeast half of the lake is in the BWCAW.
The crystal clear waters of Snowbank make it the perfect place for swimming. The acres of beautiful shoreline are perfect for an afternoon paddle or boat ride. The uninhabited wilderness around the lake makes for regular sightings of loons, eagles, herons, deer, moose, and the occasional black bear.
